Boot Walk to End Cancer ™

About the Boot Walk to End Cancer ™

The Boot Walk to End Cancer ™ is a community initiative to take a stand against cancer; raise research dollars; and show support for patients, survivors and families impacted by the disease.

For the 1.2 mile route around the MD Anderson campus and through the Texas Medical Center, walkers are encouraged to wear their favorite boots, booties or galoshes. Whether they be cowboy, go-go, hiking, hunting, motorcycle, combat or rain boots, the footwear will demonstrate walkers’ support for "giving cancer the boot."

The 2016 event will coincide with MD Anderson’s 75th Anniversary festivities. We are anticipating 5,000 participants and raise $500,000. All proceeds from the event will benefit research and patient programs at MD Anderson.

There is no registration fee for the event. Once registered, participants will be provided with fundraising tools to ask family, friends and colleagues to sponsor them in the event.
