CSI Lecture - Kristy Brock, Ph.D. - Image-Guided Cancer Therapy Research Program: Progress and Opportunities for Collaborations

Research lecture by Kristy Brock, Ph.D., Professor in the Department of Imaging Physics here at MD Anderson Cancer Center.  Dr. Brock will be providing an review of the progress of her image-guided therapy research program.

Date: 1/18/18, 3pm to 4pm
Time: 1/18/18, 3pm to 4pm
Location: South Campus Research Building 4, Room 4SCR1.1110
Format: Lecture
Speaker: Kristy Brock
Speaker Bio: Over the past 15 years, my research program has focused on the development of a novel deformable modeling technique using biomechanical models and finite element analysis, Morfeus. The technique, which is substantially different than the widely available deformable image registration algorithms that rely on image intensity, incorporates the biomechanical properties of tissues to model the complex interaction of neighboring tissues and tumors.
