Cancer Care Course - Closing the Gap - Pain, End of lIfe and Quality of Life Issues

This course focuses on pain management as a quality-of-life indicator.  Pain concepts will be explored through a "total pain" perspective, as pain can be experienced physically as well as spiritually and/or emotionally.  Nursing issues and symptom management at the end of life will be discussed.  Ethical issues and case studies will be presented.  The day will end with discussion and interaction about "caring for ourselves."   For more information, go to the Program and Class Calendars link on the Nursing Education home page.
