Cancer Care Course: Hematology Day 1
This program will enable the nurse to:
- Interpret peripheral blood counts and analyze BM aspirate/biopsy findings
- Administer blood products safely
- Manage acute complications pre- and post - stem cell transplantation
- Administer biotherapy and manage side effects of biotherapy
- Facilitate patient/family teaching for patients whose disease impacts the hematopoietic and immune systems and for those undergoing stem cell transplant (auto, allo and cord) and biotherapy
