Cancer Care Course: Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy
This basic program is designed to enhance the nurse’s understanding of blood and marrow transplantation as a treatment modality. The focus is on assessment parameters and plan of care for the common acute complications, including engraftment, cytokine storm, VOD and graft-versus-host disease. The program will assist the nurse with the implementation of comprehensive patient care from the pre-transplant and treatment phases to self care in the ambulatory setting post-stem cell transplant. For more information, go to the Program and Class Calendars link on the Nursing Education home page.
