Speaker Bio: In the last 20 months as Director of Thoracic Oncology Department, Dr. Dennis has established an infrastructure for clinical research from scratch and has opened 10 protocols (4 pending) as lead site co-investigator that is actively accruing at Johns Hopkins Bayview. He has worked across several departments and the central administration to meet the needs for clinical research at Bayview. In addition, Dr. Dennis has transitioned, expanded, and/or started three new clinics at Bayview- a Thoracic Oncology Multi-disciplinary Clinic, a Lung Cancer Screening Clinic, and a Pulmonary Nodule Clinic. Three additional clinics will start in FY2014- a Survivorship Clinic, a Familial Cancer Clinic, and a Tobacco Cessation Clinic. Recently, Dr. Dennis started a Thoracic Oncology Research Seminar Series to enhance communication and collaboration between investigators working in lung cancer.
