The Ombuds Office invites the M.D. Anderson community to celebrate International Conflict Resolution Day on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Conflict Resolution Day is designed to promote awareness of mediation, conciliation, and other creative, collaborative, and peaceful means of resolving conflict. The Ombuds Office offers a confidential forum for all employees, students, and trainees to explore informal methods of resolving conflict and other difficult situations. On this day, the Ombuds staff invites everyone to consider how civility and respect at work promotes positive resolution, as well as how listening can be a powerful tool towards effectively communicating through conflict.
