Energy Balance Journal Club: Meeting in the Middle- Biobehavioral Determinants of Visceral Adiposity

Please join us for the Monthly Energy Balance Journal Club sponsored by the Center for Energy Balance in Cancer Prevention and Survivorship. This month Dr Sue Schembre and Dr Carrie Daniel-MacDougall will be discussing the biobehavioral determinants of visceral adiposity.

The transdisciplinary journal club on energy balance in cancer brings researchers from multiple disciplines together to examine a different energy balance-related topic each month. Our moderators discussing current research ranging from basic mechanisms of energy balance and cancer, effect of energy balance on clinical outcomes, and public health implications. Our intent is to highlight the translational and multi-disciplinary nature of energy balance research and facilitate communications among interested researchers. Future topics include visceral adiposity, selection of animal models for energy balance research, circadian rhythms in energy balance-related behaviors and effects on weight changes, and health disparities related to visceral adiposity.
