Nobel Laureate, Thomas A. Steitz, Ph.D. of Yale University will present the 12th Annual Ernst Knobil Distinguished Lecture,

“From the Structure and Function of the Ribosome to New Antibiotics”

on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at UTHealth Medical School, located at 6431 Fannin, Sutie MSB 3.001, Houston, Texas 77030. 

Admission is free and open to the public.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Steitz won the 2009 Nobel prize in Chemistry for his groundbreaking illustration of the structure and function of the ribosome using X-ray crystallography.
