Human Subjects Protection Training
MD Anderson Human Subjects Protection Training (HSPT) is required for all faculty, fellows, and key personnel involved in the conduct of human subject research regardless of previous clinical research experience. Upon successful completion of HSPT, faculty, fellows and key personnel will be able to participate in the conduct of clinical research.
The IRB requires that HSPT be completed in order to be designated as a principal investigator, a collaborator or to enroll patients on clinical trials.
HSPT consists of: Successful completion of Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) modules
AND
HSPT Classroom session attendance (Registration via Education Center)
* The CITI online modules should be completed at least 48 hours prior to attending the HSPT classroom session. If the CITI modules are completed < 48 hours prior to the class, you must bring evidence of module completion to the class. Those who do not complete the CITI modules or who are unable to show evidence of module completion will not be permitted to attend the classroom session.

**Important: Attendees should arrive on time. Any attendee arriving more than15 minutes late will not receive credit for the course.
