Introduction to Scientific Publishing: How to Get Started

This session provides a general overview on the world of scientific publishing and how to get started with the process.  The first part of this session, presented by Steven Wei, Midlevel Provider Supervisor and JADPRO board member, will focus on the reasons and benefits of publishing, as well as common barriers to getting started.  It begins with choosing a topic and type of article, and following from simple tips and tricks.  The second part, presented by Kathryn Carnes, Director of Scientific Publications, will cover more nuts and bolts of a smooth writing project.
