The event, held from 2 to 5 p.m., will feature the following activities:

  • Tai Chi demonstration
  • Breast cancer presentation
  • An inflatable,  interactive breast cancer exhibit
  • Cancer strike-through wall
  • Lung cancer prevention exhibit
  • Cancer prevention education games
  • Integrative medicine informational table
  • Photo booth with branded props

This is the third annual MD Anderson Day. More than 1400 people attended the event last year. MD Anderson is a member of The Health Museum’s Consortium of Healthcare Partners.

“MD Anderson Day is a good opportunity to educate people of all ages on simple things they can do to lower their risks of cancer,” says Mar isa Mir, Community Relations and Education program director.  “We hope attendees will be encouraged to make healthier lifestyle choices.”
