Speaker: Chairman: John Davis, MD
Speaker Bio: Dr. Davis is Associate Professor in the Department of Urology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree at the University of Virginia and completed his residency training at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk. He also held a fellowship there in prostate cancer research. The recipient of an American Foundation of Urologic Disease Scholar award for proteomic applications in prostate cancer biomarkers, Dr. Davis further undertook a fellowship in urologic oncology at MD Anderson and one in laparoscopic urology in Berlin, Germany. Dr. Davis was named a Pfizer Scholar in Urology in 2004 and an American Foundation of Urologic Disease Research Scholar in 2001. He is board certified in urology. His interests include quality of life after prostate cancer treatment, outcomes of robotic radical prostatectomy, active surveillance for prostate cancer, and development of robotic surgical techniques for invasive bladder cancer.
