Dr. Lee has been studying the link between the human papilloma virus (HPV) and the development of head and neck cancer at both the preclinical and clinical levels. His research aims at understanding how HPV genes alter cell growth signaling to allow invasive growth and how the immune response during therapy contributes to clearance of HPV-related cancer.
