Department of Biostatistics
The center is being developed as an intra- and inter-institutional
initiative, with the Department of Biostatistics at M. D. Anderson
serving as the foundation. Our vision is to unite
specialists from academia, private industry, regulatory agencies, and
patient advocacy in common efforts to improve methods used to test
pharmaceutical products and medical devices. Members of our advisory
board have experience in the areas of academic and clinical research,
clinical therapy, research methodology and design, regulation, and
private industry research and development. Initial goals for the
center will include hosting consensus conferences and educational
workshops and short courses.
