Dr. Do is an expert in computer-intensive statistical methodology and has published numerous papers in the areas of bootstrap methodology and simulation, empirical likelihood, modeling of large data sets, medical applications of functional data analysis, clustering, and classification methods. More recently, Dr. Do has focused on biostatistical research and is adapting Bayesian methodology to twin and family studies in human genetics and cancer. Dr. Do has been the recipient of large grants from the Australian Research Council, the National Cancer Institute, and the National Institutes of Health.

  • Computational statistics, biostatistics, and bioinformatics; statistical genetics; and non-parametric statistical methods, with a focus on the bootstrap.
