A New Clinical Trial For Small Cell Lung Cancer Is Now Enrolling

We have recently established a new program of high-dose chemotherapy for patients with small cell lung cancer. The trial consists of three stages of treatment:

1. Patients would receive induction chemotherapy which is standard therapy and can be given close to home or at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

2. This induction therapy would be followed by mobilization of stem cells and high dose chemotherapy administered at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

3. Patients will go on to receive post transplant low dose chemotherapy which can be administered at home or at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

If you are under the age of 60, have extensive disease small cell lung cancer, and are otherwise in generally good health, you may be a candidate. We are looking for motivated patients who are searching for a more aggressive therapy than is currently offered.
