Case 24

A 17 year old woman with AML

This patient was known to have undergone radiation and intrathecal chemotherapy. CT demonstrates bilateral ganglionic and subcortical white matter calcification consistent with mineralizing microangiopathy. This probably represents an end-stage or irreversible response to the injury caused by therapy. (case courtesy of L. Heier, M.D., New York City)
