Case 9

A 27 year old female with AML
While in remission, this patient presented with left-sided 7th and 8th cranial nerve palsies. Contrast enhanced MRI shows an enhancing mass in the left petrous apex/middle cranial fossa (arrows). This proved to be a temporal bone chloroma at surgery. Chloromas arising in the temporal bone are very rare.
