A satellite facility of the MD Anderson Research Medical Library, the Research Medical Library – South Campus is an electronic resource center designed to provide conveniently located, on-site services for faculty, students, and staff located at the south end of the Texas Medical Center.

Services:

  • Literature search consultations and reference assistance
  • Face-to-face instruction on PubMed, Scopus, EndNote, and other topics upon request
  • Daily pick-up and delivery of requested books, articles, bound journals, and other materials from the Research Medical Library collections, as well as outside materials obtained through our ILLiad interlibrary loan service
  • Two group study/meeting rooms equipped with MediaScape technology, which allows meeting participants to instantly switch projection between multiple laptops
  • Public computer workstations equipped with internet access, Microsoft Office 2007, and ClinicStation
  • Notebook laptops that can be checked out for use in the meeting rooms or anywhere within SCRB4

Facilities:

  • Occupies the southeast corner of the ground floor of SCRB4
  • Two collaborative meeting rooms equipped with MediaScape technology
  • Four “kiva” style casual study/meeting rooms available on a first-come, first serve basis
  • Four-person demo room for small-group teaching sessions
  • Six public computer workstations
  • 18 total seating capacity

Hours of operation:

  • Monday - Friday 11:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Saturday - Closed
  • Sunday - Closed
