  • American Cancer Society - Cancer Facts & Figures
    • The American Cancer Society tracks cancer occurence, including the number of deaths, cases, and how long people survive after diagnosis. ACS also tracks data regarding behaviors that influence the risk of developing cancer. Also has cancer data for states.
  • Cancer Mondial (IARC)
    • This website provides access to various databases containing information on the occurrence of cancer worldwide held and managed by the Section of Cancer Information (CIN) of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).  Databases include GLOBOCAN, CI5, WHO, ACCIS, IICC, ECO, NORDCAN, and SurvCan.
  • Clinical Calculators from MD Anderson
    • MD Anderson faculty members have created several clinical calculators, also known as nomograms, to predict treatment outcomes, survival and response to specific cancer treatments. These calculators, developed in conjunction with peer-reviewed journals, helps both patients and physicians make informed decisions about cancer treatments.
  • National Quality Forum Endorsed Standards
    • This directory currently includes performance measures. NQF also endorses other types of consensus standards, including preferred practices and measurement frameworks. The National Quality Forum (NQF) is a nonprofit organization that works to build a consensus on national priorities and goals for performance improvement and endorsing national consensus standards.
  • NCCN Guidelines
    • Register to access the guidelines for free. The NCCN Guidelines® are a comprehensive set of guidelines detailing the sequential management decisions and interventions for the malignant cancers that affect 97 percent of all patients with cancer. In addition, separate guidelines relate to major prevention and screening topics and another set of pathways focuses on the major supportive care areas.
  • NCI Visuals Online
    • NCI Visuals Online contains over 2,500 images from the collections of the Office of Communications and Education and Office of Media Relations, National Cancer Institute, including general biomedical and science-related images as well as cancer-specific scientific and patient care-related images. These images are in the public domain except as noted.
  • ONS Online - Oncology Nursing Society
    • The web site for the Oncology Nursing Society provides information for nursing professionals on clinical practice, news, patient and professional education and conferences.
  • PDQ - NCI's Comprehensive Cancer Database
    • PDQ (Physician Data Query) is NCI's comprehensive cancer database. It contains summaries on a wide range of cancer topics; a registry of 8,000+ open and 19,000+ closed cancer clinical trials from around the world; and a directory of professionals who provide genetics services.
  • Practice Update
    • Practice Update integrates a multitude of authoritative professional cancer information sources, such as peer-reviewed research, news and regulatory updates, a professional drug monograph and interactions database, chemotherapy regimens, and conference coverage into one easy-to-use online destination.
  • SEER
    • SEER is a premier source for cancer statistics in the United States. Includes information on incidence, prevalence and survival from specific geographic areas representing 28 percent of the US population, plus cancer mortality for the entire country. The site is intended for anyone interested in US cancer statistics or cancer surveillance methods.
