Clara Fowler is the Manager of Research Services at the Research Medical Library.  She has worked at MD Anderson since 2005 and has been a librarian for 12 years.  Prior librarian positions include working as an instruction librarian at the University of Texas at Austin, as an instructor at the CUNY Hunter Health Professions Library, and as a coordinator of instruction programs at the University of Houston Libraries.  She is recognized for her service to state and national professional librarian organizations including the Texas Library Association and the Association of College and Research Libraries.  Clara’s expertise includes teaching evidence-based practice and facilitating active and collaborative learning environments.  She is available to lead a departmental session on any library resource or searching skill, facilitate an evidence-based approach for journal clubs, and provide expert searching consultations.

Laurissa Gann is the Manager of Education and Reference at the Research Medical Library. She has been with MD Anderson since 2005 and earned her Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of North Texas in 2007 with a special certification in Health Informatics. Laurissa has expertise in literature searching, EndNote, the NIH Public Access Policy, point-of-care mobile apps, and teaching in-person and online classes. Laurissa manages the library's education programs, reference services, special events, social media accounts, user experience initiatives and website content curation. Her goal is to enhance access to health information resources for our faculty, staff and students through outreach, instruction and reference services.

Maianh Phi is the Education Librarian at the Research Medical Library. She has been with MD Anderson since 2014 and is familiar with the Texas Medical Center community, having previously worked as a librarian at the Texas Medical Center Library. She earned her Master’s Degree in Information Studies from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011. She is available to provide instructional services regarding literature research skills and library use to MD Anderson faculty, students, and staff.
