  • Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (AHRQ)
    • AHRQ is the health services research arm of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
  • American Society of Clinical Oncology
    • ASCO is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving cancer care and prevention and ensuring that all cancer patients receive the highest quality of care.
  • American Society of Hematology
    • ASH's mission is to further the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders affecting the blood, bone marrow, and the immunologic, hemostatic and vascular systems, by promoting research, clinical care, education, training, and advocacy in hematology.
  • National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN)
    • NCCN is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of cancer care for patients. NCCN creates guidelines that can be used by patients, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • National Guideline Clearing House
    • NGC is a free resource for evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. It also includes guidelines from outside United States. NGC provides abstracts for each guideline and provides links to full-text guidelines, where available.

Outside the United States

  • Australian Government Clinical Best Practice
    • Guides and recommendations fdesigned to assist in decision making and guide best practice in the management of cancer.
  • British Columbia Cancer Agency
    • BCCA is based in British Columbia; it prepares cancer management guidelines based on the best practice evidence derived from other cancer centers throughout the world.
  • Cancer Care Ontario Program in Evidence Based Care
    • PEBC is based in Canada and produces high-quality evidence-based series and practice guidelines reports. These are published in peer-reviewed journals and on CMA Infobase.
  • Cancer Council of Australia
    • CCA works with NHMRC to develop evidence based guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer patients.
  • Clinical Knowledge Summaries
    • CKS is part of the National Health Service in UK. It is a service that provides practical and reliable clinical knowledge about common conditions managed in primary care.
  • European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO)
    • EMSO is a non-profit European organization that creates evidence-based guidelines for physicians.
  • European Society of Breast Cancer Specialists (EUSOMA)
    • EUSOMA is a non-profit European organization that creates guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases.
  • German Guidelines Clearinghouse
    • GGC is part of AQuMed (Agency for Quality in Medicine) in Germany. It is a non-profit organization owned by the German Medical Association and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. GCC appraises, initiates, and organizes medical knowledge and disseminates evidence-based guidelines.
  • Guidelines Advisory Committee
    • GAC is an independent organization that nicely summarizes guidelines that are used in Ontario.
  • Guidelines International Network
    • GIN is a non-profit international association of organizations and individuals involved in the development and use of clinical practice guidelines.
  • National Health and Medical Research Council
    • NHMRC is an Australian-based organization which develops and maintains public and individual health standards.
  • National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE)
    • NICE is a UK-based non-profit organization that produces guidelines in the areas of public health, health technologies, and clinical practice.
  • New Zealand Guidelines Group
    • NCGG is a New Zealand-based non-profit organization that has links to Cochrane Collaboration and the Guidelines International Network. It produces guidelines in order to reduce inequalities in healthcare and improve health outcomes.
  • Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO) Nursing Best Practice Guideline
    • This Ontario-based non-profit organization provides support to Ontario nurses by providing them with best practice guidelines for patient care.
  • Royal College of Radiologists
    • The Royal College of Radiologists is the professional body responsible for the specialty of clinical and clinical radiology throughout the United Kingdom. Its role is to advance the science and practice of radiology and oncology, further public education and set appropriate professional standards of practice. The College also sets and monitors the educational curriculum for those training to enter the profession.
  • Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN)
    • SIGN is based out of Scotland and works with its member institutions to create clinical guidelines for practice.
