The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is a federal agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CMS runs the Medicare and Medicaid programs - two national health care programs that benefit about 75 million Americans. And with the Health Resources and Services Administration, CMS runs the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). CMS also regulates all laboratory testing (except research) performed on humans in the United States. Approximately 158,000 laboratory entities fall within CMS's regulatory responsibility. |

This is a very large site with a lot of information. It covers everything from adverse reactions to wellness and has both regulatory information on products and manufacturers as well as specific tools and calculators for clinical use. Unfortunately it is not an easy site to navigate but does have an A-Z index, a site index and a good search engine. |
