The Library now has a mobile web site

You can now access the library on your smart phone, including BlackBerry, iPhone, Androids, and others. The URL to access the library site is http://www3.mdanderson.org/library/mobile. In addition to basic library information, you can also search MEDLINE and UpToDate. (UpToDate is available on MD Anderson issued BlackBerry or while logged into the MD Anderson wifi network using other smartphones).
At left is a screenshot of the site as it appears on a BlackBerry and on the right is an image from an iPhone.

Oncomine Webinar
The Research Medical Library is presenting an Oncomine Overview Webinar in July. Oncomine ( http://www.oncomine.org ), a product of Compedia Bioscience, is a web application that combines the world’s most important cancer genomics data from high impact, peer-reviewed publications into a searchable interface allowing you to probe the expression of a gene across thousands of cancer samples, explore genes, processes, and pathways deregulated in a particular type of cancer. Oncomine’s Gary Daubresse will explain how Oncomine can benefit your proposal writing and cancer research.
The Oncomine Overview webinar has been scheduled on two separate dates for your convenience. All MD Anderson faculty, staff and students are welcome to join. You may watch the webinar in the Research Medical Library Conference or from your desktop. A question and answer session will follow the live webinar.
Session 1: Tuesday, July 20 from 12:00PM-1:00PM CDT
Session 2: Thursday, July 29 from 12:00PM – 1:00PM CDT
To register for the webinar, please fill out this form: https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dHg5R2JRNjJFRkJZd3haa0YtVFNDeXc6MQ

Radiology Archive from 1923-1998
The Research Medical Library has purchased the entire online collection of articles from the journal Radiology back to volume 1, issue 2 in 1923. Many of those early articles addressed cancer and provide a fascinating perspective on treatment in those early years of radiation therapy.
To access the collection: http://radiology.rsna.org/content/by/year
For questions regarding this and other online journals, please contact Sherry Widdoes at swiddoes@mdanderon.org or 713-792-2812.
