The South Campus Library Hours will Change on November 1st

South CampusBased on the responses to our recent survey, the Research Medical Library is shifting the hours of its new South Campus location to better serve the needs of our South Campus patrons. Effective November 1, 2011, the new hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

A satellite facility of the MD Anderson Research Medical Library, the Research Medical Library – South Campus is an electronic resource center designed to provide conveniently located, on-site services for faculty, students, and staff located at the south end of the Texas Medical Center. The Library is located on the first floor of the South Campus Research Building 4 (SCRB4).

SciFinder Overview with Peter Blasi Tuesday, November 29, 2:00 - 3:00pm

SciFinder “SciFinder is a research discovery tool that allows you to explore the CAS databases that contain literature from many scientific disciplines including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, agricultural science, and more. You can explore one single source for scientific information in journals and patent literature from around the world. “

ToxNet Webinar December 6, 10:00am to Noon

TOXNETThis webinar will introduce users to the Environmental Health and Toxicology Portal and cover the basics of searching the TOXNET system, including saving, printing, and downloading citations.  The databases covered in this session will help attendees find factual and bibliographic information about chemicals and toxicology.
