"As a physical therapist, I often worked with patients over long periods. Since I've been coming to M. D. Anderson, I've learned that the infusion therapy nurses are in a league by themselves when it comes to TLC (tender loving care). I had been di agnosed with colon cancer and had surgery in August 1995, then I came to M. D. Anderson for chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The next spring, I learned I had liver cancer, had another surgery and got a pump implanted so I can have my chemotherapy infu sed indefinitely. Every Wednesday, my cousin comes with me to the Infusion Therapy Clinic to get my catheter cleaned. Everyone here is like a member of our family. Nurses like Ladonna Randle (pictured) laugh with us, cry with us, hug us, and most import antly, they pray for us. With their help, I'm keeping a positive attitude and taking whatever comes along."
