Investigational Cancer Therapeutics Adopt A Family

The Investigational Cancer Therapeutics Department plans several projects to raise money for the “Adopt A Family/Patient” program each year. As you know financial, emotional and physical stresses burden our patients and their loved ones on a daily basis. In effort to alleviate some of this stress, the Leukemia Department participates in the Adopt-a-Family/Patient Program each year. This is typically around the holiday season but we strive for an early start on raising funds. The money raised will be deposited in our account in preparation for our annual holiday donation. All baskets (contents and supplies) are created and donated by ICT Employees. 100% of proceeds are given to the Adopt a Family/Patient Program. Our online silent auction will end at 11:59pm on October 12, 2009. The website is live and updated in real time. Winning bidders must pay for item with check or cash at the close of the auction. If you can not retrieve your basket and pay for it, you may call Susan Tse at 713-794-1014 to make other arrangements. If the basket has not been paid for by October 21, the second highest bidder will be contacted. Baskets are on display in the FC8.3000 lobby, beside the Paperback Sale. Please check back often to make sure you have not been outbid! When the auction is over, winners will be notified. Checks should be made out to MD Anderson. For more information you can contact Susan Tse at 41014 or stse@mdanderson.org Baskets will be displayed in the Rotary House Crosswalk on Tuesday, September 29 from 10-3 with a laptop for bidding. Please come by and check them out!
