You definitely can be on Candid Camera on this campus! The UT Police use electronic security to maintain a proactive approach in detecting and preventing criminal activity. The UT Police use card access, closed circuit televisions, and alarm and article detection systems to monitor the ever-expanding growth in buildings and property. This approach is used in current buildings and is also incorporated into new building construction. The electronic systems are centrally monitored at the UTPD Command Dispatch Center. |
Emergency phones are located throughout the campus. These direct ring phones are answered 24 hours daily. They are used for any type of emergency, or for assistance with vehicle problems, to unlock doors, or to ask for a police escort. |
