Case 12 
 
A 39 year old man with CML
This sagittal T1-weighted MR image shows diffusely hypointense vertebral body bone marrow signal, suggesting leukemic infiltration. In a normal patient, the disc signal should never be brighter than the bone marrow. This appearance could be seen in diffuse metastatic disease of any primary source, or myelofibrosis.
