1.
Gross specimen of hyaline cartilage proliferation noted surgically within distended bursa and superimposed conventional radiograph.
2.
Coronal T1W MR image reveals intermediate signal intensity mass at medial aspect of proximal tibia.
3.
Axial T1W MR image reveals mass with slight prosterior extension. Note relationship to tendons of gracilis, sartorius, and semitendinosus muscles Iarrows). Pesanserine refers to the conjoint tendons of these muscles, together resembling the foot of a goose (Pes-Foot; Anserine- Goose).
4.
Contrast enhanced axial T1W MR image reveals fluid content of mass. In this case a diagnosis of anserine bursitis was offered prospectively by the radiologist.
5.
Axial FSE T2W MR image reveals high signal intensity lesion with central low signal intensity focus (arrow) corresponding to the conventional radiograph.
