POST-SURGICAL
APPEARANCE OF EXTREMITY SARCOMA

INTRODUCTION
Several surgical
approaches have been utilized for the treatment of extremity soft-tissue
sarcomas.
- Intracapsular
Excision (to
be avoided)
- Marginal
Excision (to
be avoided)
- Wide Excision
(Preferable
- at least 2CM margin around identifiable tumor. Limiting structure
will be bone or neurovascular bundle).
- Amputation
