Faculty

The reputation of M. D. Anderson Cancer Center attracts experts in all fields to the Hospital. Therefore, the faculty includes members who possess an unparalleled level of knowledge and technical expertise.

The Department of Cytopathology has a team of faculty members who are world-renowned expert cytopathologists in various specialty areas such as Cytology of Breast, Lymphoma, Bone, Soft Tissue, Liver and Pancreas. They are pioneers of research in Image Analysis, Flourescent in Situ Hybridization, Detection of Estrogen Receptors and Oncogenes in Breast Cancer, which assists in the selection of treatment modality.

The cytotechnologists who train students are well experienced in the field and are up to date with all the technological advances. The instruction is primarily structured on a one-to-one basis thus providing guidance based upon individual student's unique needs.
