Case 19

A 38 year old male with CML, failed BMT and multiple infections
Despite aggressive therapy for sinus infections, including surgery, this patient's condition worsened, and an MRI was obtained . A coronal post-contrast, fat-suppressed T1-weighted image (19A) showed extensive sinonasal opacification and the suggestion of violation of the fovea ethmoidalis on the right (arrows).

Axial imaging through the brain with magnetization transfer (19B) showed abnormal meningeal enhancement, right greater than left, consistent with intracranial spread, which proved to be fatal Mucor meningitis.
