OUR POLICIES
The Admissions Committee considers as much information as
possible when evaluating your qualifications for the study
and practice of radiation therapy.
The factors considered in the selection of
applicants include:
- Academic performance in the courses required
for admission,
- Overall academic performance
- Standardized test scores
- Letters of recommendation
- Motivation, character, and communication
skills
- Volunteer or observational experience
in your chosen field
- Admissions Committee members' evaluation
from the personal interview
The number of students accepted into the
program each year is limited, with selection made on a comparative
basis. All students must be at least eighteen years of age
prior to the start of any clinical rotation.
RADIATION THERAPY DEPARTMENTAL OBSERVATION
All applicants are required to seek observational experiences
in a hospital radiation therapy department. It is required
that you make at least one four-hour visit to a radiation
oncology department before your admissions interview. Contact
the program office for assistance in scheduling.
INTERVIEWS
A personal interview, by invitation of the Admissions Committee,
is required for admission. A final decision on acceptance
is made after this interview.
The purpose of the interview is two-fold: It enables you to
ask questions in order to evaluate the program for your needs
and it gives the program personnel a chance to weight such
factors as your motivation and interpersonal skills.
The admission committee does not consider race, religion,
national origin, veteran status, sex, age or disability when
evaluating candidates for admission. The program adheres to
the institution's Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
REGISTRY SCORES
The ARRT requires a written request for registry score results.
Have the results sent directly to the Program Office.
