The
University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Program in
Radiation Therapy is a 12-month hospital based certificate
program. There are approximately 500 hours of didactic instruction
with 1400 hours of clinical.

The clinical education component of the
program includes experience at UTMDACC or M. D. Anderson Cancer
Network Moncrief Cancer Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Utilizing
a distance-learning format, seven clinical rotations are administered
during each year of academic instruction. A well-balanced
clinical experience is planned for each student to include
therapeutic treatment, treatment planning and dosimetry, patient
care and management, simulation and quality a
FEES
The course fee for the full year of academic instruction is
$2,500. This fee does not include uniform, housing or book
expenses. A liability insurance and materials fee of $300
is also required. Each student is responsible for obtaining
parking permits, arranging for his or her housing during the
program, and maintaining health insurance coverage. Cost of
the Program may be changed without notice by Acts of the Texas
State Legislature, The University of Texas System Board of
Regents or The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Graduation from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
or Nuclear Medicine
OR
Graduation from a professional nursing school.
