Stephen Palmer, Ph.D., Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Palmer is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he completed a dissertation on the role of affect and endogenous opioids in placebo analgesia. As a member of the Pain Research Group, he is primarily involved in the group's laboratory studies of pain and pain treatment. His main research interest is the impact of behavior, emotion, and personality on pain, and the biological mechanisms by which these factors operate.
