Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) Program

Communication with Departments

The HUB Staff is responsible for identifiying American minority / woman-owned business enterprises to UT M. D. Anderson's Contract Specialists. We provide training on legislative and program updates as appropriate.

The client community of UT M. D. Anderson, together with all buying components, are responsible for awarding small order purchases to HUB's especially when expending funds from federal contracts or grants that require a Public Law 95-507 plan. Such plans indicate the percentage, or goal, of expenditures with small disavantaged business.

HUB vendors are identified to our internal staff who are authorized to make limited delegated purchases through our vendor data base. This helps in locating HUB's as well as the commodities services needed
