Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) Program

HUB Program Activities

Identify New HUB Vendors

The HUB Program locates American minority / woman-owned businesses through telephone calls, by attending and sponsoring vendor fairs, as well as through HUB vendor requests to be added to our Institutional bidder's list. The HUB Program also is in frequent contact with local area minority Chambers of Commerce , the Houston Women's Business Council, the Houston Minority Business Council the City of Houston , Metropolitan Transit Authority, Texas Department of Commerce and other U. T. System components in our efforts to expand the bidder's list from which competitive bids are taken for UT M.D. Anderson.

The HUB Program staff advises vendors of the procedures for doing business with M.D. Anderson which includes an overview of the main products and services we procure, our award evaluation criteria, and general guidelines for submitting an Invitation To Bid. Vendors are also referred to the buyer(s) responsible for the commodities / services the vendor provides.
