Medical Oncology/Hematology Fellowship Program

M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, one of the foremost comprehensive cancer centers in the world, is a 420-bed specialty facility dedicated exclusively to the care and treatment of cancer patients. The Cancer Center provides inpatient facilities, clinics, and laboratory resources, including advanced pathology services, electron microscopy and immunopathology, diagnostic imaging, blood banking and blood therapy facilities, on-site radiotherapy facilities, general and specialty surgery facilities, medical and surgical intensive care units, and pediatric facilities. Resources in clinical pharmacology and tumor immunology also are available. An extensive Medical Oncology library is also on-site. The hospital itself houses several multi-floor research wings, including a veterinary facility. Several off-site buildings house operations totally dedicated to research. Additionally, M. D. Anderson's administrative and support functions are conveniently located in several high-rise buildings on the Texas Medical Center campus.

M. D. Anderson Cancer Center's Division of Medicine administers a three-year fellowship program in medical oncology. The division integrates each of its department's major educational patient care responsibilities with the division's research goals.
