  • The Mobile Mammography van contains state-of-the-art equipment that emits low levels of radiation and provides accurate breast imaging.
  • All mammograms are performed by experienced technologists – mammography specialists – who are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and certified by the State of Texas.
  • Mammograms and services are of the same high quality as those provided at M. D. Anderson.
  • Radiologists who interpret M. D. Anderson mammograms are board certified, with special expertise in mammography. Many are internationally recognized for their teaching, clinical and research contributions.
  • Mammograms taken through the Mobile Mammography Program are retained for up to 10 years. This service provides women easy access to their records and enables our radiologists to compare prior mammograms to new results to determine whether significant breast changes have occurred.
  • M. D. Anderson’s mammography screening program complies with the Mammography Quality Standards Act -- signifying that all mammo-graphy personnel, equipment and record-keeping practices comply with federal guidelines.
