The Historical Resources Center (HRC) preserves the history, heritage, and culture of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. As the institution’s official archival repository, the HRC collects and safeguards institutional records, personal papers, multimedia collections, rare books, and oral history interviews. Together, these archives preserve the past and document the present, helping the institution shape its future in cancer education, research, and treatment.
The HRC also reflects MD Anderson’s commitment to innovation by making its collections as accessible as possible to stakeholders. This includes limited onsite access to physical materials by request, a growing selection of digital collections available through the institutional repository, and reference services that support both internal and external clients.
The HRC has been supported by grants from NHPRC and TexTreasures .
